The implementation of the last zakat by-law on prior to 2019's returns

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority "ZATCA", allows the accounting zakat payer to to implement the Zakat Regulations issued by Ministerial Resolution No. (2216) dated 7 Rajab 1440 A.H. “the last” to the fiscal years beginning before January 1, 2019 AD. The decision aims to facilitate zakat payers and address some of the challenges they face.

The implementation of the ministerial decision includes declarations relating to fiscal years beginning before January 1, 2019, in three cases:

1- The zakat declaration that will be submitted after the decision takes effect.

2- The Zakat declaration is under examination by ZATCA.

3- The Zakat declaration is under objection or with the General Secretariat of Tax Committees GSTC, provided that the statutory periods for objection have not expired.
